Types of Sessions

Campus Technology Forum offers participants a variety of meeting structures designed to maximize participant networking and collaborative learning.

Keynote Sessions:

CT FORUM keynote sessions feature engaging keynote speakers who will present important topics and content reflecting the prevailing themes of the conference. These highly regarded professionals are passionate about sharing their expertise with audiences and this year we are pleased to feature two dynamic keynote speakers: Dr. Robbie Melton and Kenneth C. Green.

Breakout Sessions:

50 minute concurrent session held in breakout meeting rooms set theater style. Attendees have an excellent selection of sessions to choose from, each presented by experts and innovators who are making a difference across the IT profession and higher education. They’ll share lessons learned, innovative ideas, leadership strategies, and give you new and valuable perspectives as well as offering solutions to challenging IT problems.Each featured session focuses on one of the most active areas of change in higher education IT and is presented by leaders and innovators within those arenas. From mobiles, to the cloud, to digital content—sessions examine compelling issues affecting all higher education professionals.

2 1/2 Hour Seminar Intensives:

Included in your conference registration, select two Seminar Intensives to attend on Monday, April 29th.  Offered in a classroom setting that will allow participants to experience technology and interact with peers. These hands-on seminar intensives provide opportunities to examine the latest technologies and practice implementing technological tools and solutions. You’ll be able to take away your learning to use at your institution without delay. From integrating iPads, to IT Leadership issues and building MOOCs -- there are plenty of relevant session topics higher ed professionals won’t want to miss!

General Sessions:

The general sessions provide an opportunity for all conference attendees to gather at once. The general sessions feature speakers that are engaging educational professionals who will share prevailing topics sponsored by industry leaders. These professionals will be sharing their expertise and emerging industry insight!

Dr. Melton formally served for ten years as the chief administrator responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of Tennessee Board of Regents System Wide Regents Online Campus Collaborative (ROCC): Regents Online Degree Programs (RODP) and Regents Online Continuing Education (ROCE).

Kenneth C. Green is the founding director of The Campus Computing Project(campuscomputing.net), the largest continuing study of the role of eLearning and of information technology in American higher education.
