From smart phones to smart classrooms, from residential LANs to high-performance labs, our colleges and universities are chock full of computers. From UMass Online to Harrison College, and from the Khan Academy to Udacity.org, our computers are full of colleges and universities, too. No wonder we're confused and even a little anxious. But perhaps the turbulence we feel is not a portent of disaster, but a sign of a beautiful disruption—one that precedes our next steps in realizing the core values of education.
